Material
Most items from "Jewelry piercings":
- The bar and screw ball are made of surgical steel. Top designed part is made of copper and rhodium plated since it is flexible to shape the design and has good strength to hold CZ. Rhodium plating is used to enhance the luster and durability of metals.
- Please note that the plated area is weak to sweat, perfume, and other chemical substances. If the plated area is exposed to water and cosmetic products for a long time consistently, it may cause tarnish.
- If the item is totally surgical steel, titanium or silver, it is informed in the item detail section.
Caution
The top designed area is rhodium plating which is used to enhance the luster and durability of metals. BUT, it could tarnish or change color if it is not with in care, so please :
- Avoid exposing items to harsh chemicals.
- Always take off your jewelry when dealing with chemicals
- Take your jewelry off when swimming in heavily chlorinated pools as the chlorine can damage the plating.
- Avoid contact with perfumes and cosmetics which affect plating.
- Never use alcohol or harm chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide on body jewelries piercings! This can damage the piercing.
